Not bad, although I'd maybe make the extra life dots a little rarer, as it's way too easy to just rack up a million extra lives and not need to worry about hitting anything. Also, sometimes the dots get hidden behind the 'Score' and 'Lives' meters.

Also, have you considered looking at the Newgrounds API for keeping track of users' high scores?
